As part of our final project for Public Relations Research, I worked in a group with Patricia Erickson, Danielle Sanchez and Lorilee Bell to create a PSA and distribute a survey. It was our goal to promote awareness of the dangers of texting while driving, and also to collect valuable data regarding people’s awareness, attitudes and behaviors toward texting while driving.
The survey is now closed, but you can view our video PSA as well as our report below. In the video PSA, I am the bicyclist. I like to think of myself as the bicyclist version of Will Ferrel’s character Steve Butabi in the movie “A Night at the Roxbury.” This is how I think Will Ferrel would ride his bicycle:
